The single most important task for the next Governor is to spur Pennsylvania to lead the nation in job creation and business vitality.  Our economic crisis demands that the next Governor enter office with a record of economic development and a commitment to making the difficult decisions that will grow Pennsylvania’s economy.

Dan Onorato is the only candidate for Governor who knows what it takes to turn around a large economy – because he has done it.  After six years of his leadership, today Allegheny County has more jobs than any other county in Pennsylvania and the county’s unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the state and far lower than the nation’s.

As Governor, Dan’s chief focus will be establishing the environment for the private sector to create well-paying jobs that improve the economic security of all of the Commonwealth’s residents.  Dan will improve the business climate by making business taxes more competitive, ensuring that the state is responsive to companies that want to invest in Pennsylvania, and getting all Pennsylvanians ready to succeed in the high-skills workforce.
